Fred,

The problem isn't guys like you it has everything to do with your last comment, married folks looking to have relations while still in a committed relationship!

That being said the relationship status options within Datepad gives you the option of stating that you are divorced or separated. Choosing either of these options won't block you from those that don't want to be contacted by married users.

I hope this clarifies our stance and how the system works.

All the best,
Shawn

Don't write off married people as potential dating material. I am married and in the middle of a divorce. However, that should not rule me out of the dating scene. I gave comittment to my ex-partner for over a decade, had a child, love it, supported it and will continue to for as long as I possibly can. These are the values that someone choosing a partner should be looking for!!

I am sick and tired of being written off as a waste of time just because I am separated and have a child. I am successful, very solvent with houses in three countries, have loads of work, am a very hard worker, stable, sensible, mature and intelligent (with two degrees).

And yet stupid dating websites think that such people are a write-off, and this is totally wrong.

There are genuine situations where a person is in the middle of a separation or divorce and is still a genuine person who seeks a date. Relationships are very very complicated things and all you people who are writing off married/separated people will learn this in the years to come when you reach a crisis point in your marriage or relationship, as you will, because everyone does.

I am not condoning those idiots who obviously want "quickie" meeting and are clearly having a "bit on the side" - but there are people who are not in this category, such as me: separated, married, but fully comitted to finding someone else and loving them.
