Singlesnet.com Review
Sporting a global membership of over 5 million members, and unique monthly visitors exceeding 8 million, Singlesnet.com is one of the most visited internet dating sites in the world.
The site’s design is good if a bit generic with a pleasing use of color. It’s easy on the eyes, though some of the font sizes, particularly those on the menu bars, could be bigger.
When I first loaded the home page, I was offered a “limited time free trial membership”, no credit card required. Once I created my profile, references to this offer were non-existent. Even clicking on “upgrade” did not reveal how to take advantage of this offer. My questions regarding this matter to customer service went unanswered. I can only assume that this process is automatic with the creation of a new profile. I hate assumptions!
Those whose computer experience is limited will find this site frustrating. There are only five questions in the help section, three of which are password/login related, and any other assistance must be sought by telephone or webmail. My question to the support desk had not been answered after 24 hours, despite their claim that support is available Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm EST.
Singlesnet.com claims a 30 second sign up process. In and of itself, that’s true HOWEVER after doing so, you MUST complete the remainder of your profile before accessing the site. This will take you anywhere from one to twenty minutes depending on how you answer the questions (most of the questions on the registration page will lead to even more questions!!) and how much time you want to devote to telling the world about yourself.
The “search” – I use quotes here deliberately because this is not a search in the traditional sense. You may only search geographically by “my area” (although there is no indication given of how wide an area this actually is), or by county then state or province. Searching will only reveal those profiles that the system’s matching technology chooses for you in terms of matching traits and similarities. If you’re a gal looking for a guy whose 6’1” or more with red hair, good luck, you’ll have to plow through all the profiles that the Singlesnet.com system matches you with.
Prices are reasonable when compared to the competition. A one month Singlesnet.com membership costs $24.95, three months $19.95 per month and a one year membership costs $7.49 per month. Both the one month and three month memberships will auto renew.
Besides the profiles, there is nothing, and I mean NOTHING, on Singlesnet.com to keep you here. There are no forums, no articles, no links to dating tips or advice, and no online chat. Basically, your membership buys you email rights, and not much else. The online help section is practically non-existent, and if my experience with customer service is anything to go by I don’t recommend holding your breath for a reply. Considering the size of the membership, the number of visitors this site receives every month, and the fact that one must pay a membership fee, their customer service and support is woefully inadequate.

Anyone know what happened to the Singlesnet website? I was a memeber there and didn’t visit for maybe 3 weeks and when I went to chcek on things I can’t get to the site because it appears to have disappeared. Did it close down? Change it’s name? Or what?

This site is full of scams. When you have a paid membership you suddenly get messages from other countries although the profile says they’re in the US. At one point I was getting 10 a day but none were in this country. If you want a totaly free site with no scammers go to plentyoffish.com

Singlesnet.com has been amassing a growing mountain of complaints regarding its trade practices. As of November 25, 2008, the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office (617-727-8400) has been investigating 21 complaints, all received within the past two years. The Better Business Bureau has taken down its review of this company, ostensibly for a “re-review”. Reviews of this website abound on the Internet-please be careful.

Was sent to this site from an ad tile for Mature 40’s something. Signed up and found out anyone is on here. Any age, and maturity is an option. Scammers and much more. I have found a few decent fellows, I think.
Most do not write a bio. Interests selection is limited. Totally free sites are best. Scammers are still out there. And of course the always typical self frauds. Meaning, living in a fantasy world telling non truths.
Good luck to all. We (I) need it.

My law firm is investigating a possible class action lawsuit against this company. If you have had problems with this website we would like to hear from you.

THEY suck! I have been going round and round with them about a stupid picture of me playing my guitar on stage> They say that it is not within their guidelines to have a “profile” picture,(side view shot), although they have allowed the same picture of me in the past. Then I have found at least 25% of the women that I have had contact with have a profile picture of themselves on that sight. DOUBLE STANDARD?? I think so!! So when I called them to complain all I got was the proverbial run-around and BS. I explained that I PAY THEM for a customer service, which by the way I am not getting. When I asked for a refund and to close my account, they said sorry!! No refunds. They are full of S–T !!

His name was Maxwell O’neal and i even contacted the company he whose website he was portraying. He claimed to live in Arizona and had a son. But he was away on business to purchased fabrics. Then went on to say he didnt have money to get back to us because the check was in england and the funds would not clear all the time proclaiming his love for thru IM and I feel for it and wired 800.00 to a so called third party supposed to a friend of his helping him get back in to us.

I’ve been on singlesnet.com for awhile now, I refuse to give them any money. Everytime I update my profile they say I can’t have on there what I update. Nothing in my profile even hints to my real name, email, or messenger name. But yet they wipe out half of what I try to say, yet I see mens profiles with half their body hanging out or they give out their email in sneaky ways. If it’s manually monitored how are the GUYS getting away with it?

I too paid for the full year subscription. I did this 3 weeks ago (Feb. 09) I have hated it ever since. After taking a very long time to answer the questions asked and set up my profile. I still have no control over what I can look for.
I have asked for certain ages and location and yet get all ages and locations emailing or as they call it a free flirt. I have noticed that I get them from anyone and when I contact them they have no clue as to what I am talking about. This leads me to believe that the system is just randomly giving flirts to everyone.
If you need any information from me please do contact me though my email and I would be happy to help.
Someone needs to do something!

I was a victom of a scam on singlesnet from a guy that is still got an active website to make women think he has his own business. However, I was stupid enough to send him $620.00 on April 2nd. Then another $500 on April 4th. On April 5th this supposed friend of Maxwell O’neal that was suppose to be a travel agent says that they can’t pick up the money because they had been over their limit that month. In the mean time money gram calls me and says they didn’t give this Mildred White(travel agent) the money because something just didn’t seem right and to come pick up my money. I said well thank you so much for telling me that. Then Maxie gets a hold of me shortly after upset saying the hotel he is staying at will not let him leave until he pays and that I need to pick up my money at money gram and put $200.00 more with it for the hotel and plane ticket so he can get home. April 6th was supposedly his birthday and he couldn’t take it another day there. We had talked intensively through IM. It was actually on a Christian website that we met. He said all the right things and I thought he was it. I have found out now that it’s true how the old saying goes. “If it’s too good to be true, then it probably is”. WOW! I have learned my lesson the hard way for sure. And the bad part is I started having my doubts before I wired the last $700.00 and did it anyway. What a fool I was. So they scammed me out of $1440 with wire fees plus I had rented a nice hotel so that when he came in we could have place to stay. That was another $450.00. With my gas running everywhere to try and get all of this money to him and my meals out at the hotel while I stayed waiting patiently for him for 4 days. I would say he scammed me a total of $2000.00. Man he was good too. I am a very very skeptical person. I guess he got me when my guard was way down.

Watch out! Maxie’s moved on to some other sites…..

Anaylize this:
I just received 3 emails from 3 open profiles that I had looked on yesterday. Funny how the timing and email where convenient and sent to my email address. I’m sure singlesnet will look at the logs, so I had to disguise some of this info, but it is certainly true. The emails are sent to you so you can sign up, but who are you really talking to? What a crock.

Hi, solid clause, you carried still if you don’t mind I’d append few points out around approaches girls or men. Specially it can be serious when it follows to man woman relationships. The essential affair is your mental attitude, which should be attached and open. If you have an posture like that, any soul shouldn’t discover any difficulties that you have addressing as expressing. When you offset a conversation, you usually require to require safe queries that are true not to cause her any irritation. Once the conversation goes some momentum, you can ask more personalized queries. A good legerdemain is to learn some interrogations she made a point of so whenever the conversation decelerates, you can mention one of these questions.
